Abstract
The eye offers a unique, transparent window to observe immune responses in real time. This presentation explores how advanced imaging techniques, such as IBEX multiplexed staining and Adaptive Optics Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy, enable direct visualization of immune cell behaviour in the eyes of mice and humans. By combining intravital imaging with high-dimensional tissue analysis, we gain insights into immune surveillance, inflammation, and disease progression in vivo. Studying the eye as a model reveals fundamental principles of immune function and opens new avenues for diagnosing and treating immune-mediated diseases.
