Seminario - Biotecnologie e Bioscienze - Giovedì 16 maggio 2024, 16:30, edificio U4-TELLUS, aula U4-01
Stefania Garbujo, Department of Biotechnology and Biosciences, University of Milano-Bicocca
Abstract

The success in addressing the Covid-19 pandemic highlighted the potential revolution in biomedical research from harnessing RNA technology with nanoscience. The development of non-viral RNA nanocarriers has become an area of active research. Despite the clinical success of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) they suffer from lack of tumor targeting capability, which is a prerequisite for selective cancer therapy. In this seminar, the “cell membrane coating” technology will be presented as a new valuable approach that offers appreciable means for imparting several advantageous functions to nanoparticles, including bioavailability, prolonged circulation in the bloodstream, and targeting efficiency.
Il seminario è APERTO a tutti.
