The SIRC (Società Italiana di Ricerche Cardiovascolari) is a no-profit organization that studies molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the cardiovascular diseases in order to find novel therapeutic targets, focusing on the importance of interdisciplinary which involve physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, cellular and molecular biology, cardiac surgery and cardiology. The aims of the Society are to facilitate the networking between researchers through the organization of scientific meetings, to develop research plans in collaboration with public and private centers and to favour international research and communication through grant and fellowships.
In order to promote the novel results obtained in the cardiovascular research field, the society encourages researchers to participate to the SIRC annual meeting, which this year will runs for over 3 days, from 28th to 30th October, in a blended format.
Our PhD student Martina Arici ( Rocchetti’s Lab ) will participate with a poster presentation entitled “The long-lasting istaroxine metabolite PST3093 stimulates SERCA2a and reverses disease-induced changes in cardiac function”, giving an important contribute to the cardiovascular physiology knowledge in this field.
Congratulation Martina!
