TeCSBi SPOTLIGHT on PhD students

Comment by Valentina Artusa (Peri’s Lab)

Having the chance to present their own studies during a meeting is always a great thrill for every scientist, especially the younger ones. Beside this, a congress, even an online version, creates the possibility to virtually meet and know the work of some new emerging groups. On September 30th and October 1st, several researchers from the Department of Biotechnologies and Biosciences of the University of Milan-Bicocca will present their achievements during the 3rd Annual Congress "L'era delle 3R: modelli in silico, in vitro e in vivo per promuovere la ricerca traslazionale” sponsored by Politecnico di Torino. Among them, our PhD candidate Stefania Blasa (Lecchi’s Lab) will show her results during the postersession with a poster entitled: “Differentiated neuroblastoma F-11 cells as an alternative in-vitro model of Dorsal Root Ganglion neurons”. The aim of the congress is to moving towards the 3R Approaches: Reduction, Refinement, Replacement, by using bioengineering tools and technologies as advanced alternatives to animal testing. The ultimate goal is to promote the ethical principles that every researcher should respect when undertaking experiments that involve animals.

We all join in sending good wishes to Stefania  as a TeCSBi representative!
