Inherited bone marrow failure syndromes (IBMFS) comprise a heterogeneous group of rare genetic disorders characterized by impaired hematopoiesis and increased susceptibility to malignancies. Despite significant advances in understanding their molecular pathogenesis, several questions remain unanswered, particularly regarding disease progression, clinical heterogeneity, and leukemic transformation. This seminar will explore emerging insights into ribosomal dysfunction, cellular stress, and senescence, with a particular focus on Shwachman-Diamond syndrome, Fanconi anemia, and Diamond-Blackfan anemia syndrome. Finally, novel therapeutic approaches aimed at restoring defective protein expression will be discussed, highlighting the challenges and opportunities of translating molecular discoveries into clinical applications.

Host: Ronchi, Citterio

The seminar is OPEN to all.

ONLINE REGISTRATION for the seminar is a mandatory requirement for those who wish to request the CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE, which, together with the signature on the ATTENDANCE SHEET, will confirm actual participation.

The seminar's online registration will be available a few days before the event.
