Biological drugs (BDs) encompass a broad spectrum of products, including proteins, peptides, and genetic materials. Compared to traditional small molecule drugs, BDs exhibit higher potency and selectivity, addressing many chronic diseases and unmet medical needs. However, most BDs have a short circulating half-life, low stability, and rapid clearance. Among the strategies proposed to mitigate these issues, nanoparticles (NPs) have emerged as effective delivery systems. NPs can enhance drug distribution, decrease inactivation and elimination, and enable non-invasive administration options. This seminar will focus on my journey in developing BD-loaded NPs, exploring challenges and advances.

The seminar is OPEN to all.
