Treating neurological and psychiatric disorders is a major challenge. Defining the pathophysiology of disease will require an understanding of how brain circuits normally operate, how they interact with the environment, and what goes wrong on an individual basis.
In this webinar, we will hear how neuroscience is shaping translational approaches to psychiatry and neurology. Kerry Ressler will describe his work on fear in animal models and how this research can be translated to understanding fear-related disorders in humans. Helen Mayberg will share her efforts in identifying biomarkers for treatment selection in major depressive disorder. Rita Balice-Gordon will discuss the challenges associated with designing clinical trials and addressing brain disorders from a circuits perspective.
Join the discussion to hear how industry and academia are tackling these issues.
